Having created and established the concept of MODERN SAIDI,
we bring you a workshop that is at the pace of the heartbeat of modern
fusion trends. Bringing together the most traditional sounds of the
Mizmar & Nay in a most funky rhythm that you can dance many
styles to.

This is a workshop that will make you dance Baladi together with
the hippest of steps, bringing modern Saidi together with modern
dance and while fusion is the subject of the day, you will also be
dancing some of the best quality steps from the GOLDEN ERA of
Egyptian Dance.

Hip, Funky, Baladi, Saidi, Classical, Latin, African, Brasilian & much more..

WORKSHOP THAT WILL ROCK YOU.

Using rhythms that are embedded in hearts & souls of the people
of the Arabian Gulf. Especially Iraq, Kuwait, Dubai & Saudi Arabia.
We bring you a workshop that joins together many cultures of this
world's TRIANGLE connecting Arabia to Asia, Africa to India.

A drum solo that incorporates many rhythms is portrayed here
by Serena in a choreography that you can get your hips into.

Apart from the various rhythmic aspects, there will be a high
concentration on technique in this workshop as the steps presented are
a mixture of Egyptian, Iraqi, Persian, Samba, Fallahy and much more.
This is a dynamic workshop that is a must for all.

This includes a participation certificate and a 4 week membership to the
"Watch the workshops' choreography CLUB"
Where you will be able to watch the choreographies that you learned
for 4 weeks after the classes.

HOSSAM & SERENA have travelled the world with their unique and effective style of workshops. Whilst the themes may vary, their overriding mission remains constant, to help oriental dancers learn to intuitively interpret, and become part of, the music.

This crucial skill is the key factor on which Arab audiences judge a dancer’s ability, but is so often missing in performance and even more seldom is it taught.

Hossam & Serena present a unique opportunity to learn this skill, not just from the perspective of a talented dancer, but from the perspective of a world-renowned percussionist, musician, composer and international dance instructor.

This style of workshop stands alone, and the Ramzys employ a variety of teaching methods during a single workshop, including lectures, discussions and demonstrations of movement and rhythm, so that learning is achieved at a deeper level than mere repetition of a dance routine.

Whilst there is a substantial and significant element of dance techniques covered during the workshop, learning “new moves” is not the key focus. A choreography may be used but not with the aim of basic repetition of steps, but as a tool to understand how the music can be interpreted individually.

Workshops are fast-paced and challenging but even complete beginners surprise themselves with what they find themselves capable of achieving.
